The ECAM opens the call for admissions for a 2026 – 2027 academic year with important news
A new academic model with four-year diplomas and a more humanistic and practical approach will accompany the 2026-2027 academic year of the ECAM (School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid), an institution that has just opened the admissions period.
As the main novelty for the next course, the training of diplomas happens to have a duration of four years, incorporating a transversal training and progressive specialization paths, in order to put students at the center and better respond to their training needs. In parallel, continuing with its commitment to bringing the reality of the profession to the classroom, ECAM expands its offer of Postgraduate with the new Master in Audiovisual Postproduction, which aims to introduce students to post-production as a complete, transversal and professional process. This training joins other already consolidated courses, such as the Master in Color and Digital Grading, the Master in Project Management and Audiovisual Companies, and the Master in Distribution and Business in the Audiovisual Industry. Likewise, registrations are open for the Master in Film Restoration and Preservation and the Master in Entertainment Marketing, two courses that were launched last year and that also respond to the demands of the sector in these specializations.
In addition, ECAM continues to offer the training program of Trade School. These are several intensive and short-term courses that, subsidized by the Ministry of Culture and the Next Generation Funds of the European Union, they promote the students to train different areas of audiovisual. This funding reinforces the school's mission of bringing audiovisual training closer to all types of profiles and contributing to the professionalization of the industry. The complete list can be consulted on the website of the ECAM, which also includes the dates and venues in which they are taught.
In this line of financing, there is also ECAM VFX Studio, a proposal online training in visual effects where practical learning in professional software is combined while acquiring essential theoretical foundations for their development in the sector. Participants can specialize in software such as Adobe Photoshop y After Effects, Autodesk Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Unreal Engine o DaVinci Resolve.
