The School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM) publishes the bases of an extraordinary call for scholarships for masters of the 2020/2021 academic year. These talent scholarships aim to cover the training of those who, demonstrating academic and/or professional experience, have financial difficulties in paying for tuition.

For the first time, the ECAM Foundation will grant 14 scholarships of 50% of the tuition fee de cada máster para los alumnos matriculados en la convocatoria del próximo curso.

With these scholarships, the ECAM Foundation seeks to ensure that no one with talent is left out of specialized training that the industry is increasingly demanding. The audiovisual sector has been strongly affected in recent months and with these scholarships we try to support talented people who want to specialize thanks to the postgraduate training that the school offers in its catalog of master's degrees.

“At ECAM we will try to help all those students who need it, our intention is to maintain the current scholarship scheme based on merit or need and analyze other cases one by one to understand and collaborate with students who are in special economic situations,” he comments. Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson, director of ECAM.

These scholarships join the existing ones for Diploma students, for whom the Foundation already offered 8 scholarships for first-year students who meet the financial requirements, and another 8 in both second and third years for students who not only meet the requirements, but also appear among the best grades in the course. As a novelty from last year, in the Diploma studies there are also three Talent Scholarships, with an endowment of 6,000 euros, for young people who, demonstrating an excellent academic record and a portfolio of artistic and audiovisual works, have financial difficulties in paying for the registration fee.
