Hispasat announces the jury's decision for its III “Woman Engineer” Scholarship to pursue postgraduate studies
Paloma Pérez Jiménez, a student of Aerospace Engineering at the University of Seville and with a course taken at the Universitá degli Studi di Napoli Federico II (Erasmus program), has been the beneficiary of financial aid of 5,000 euros.
Hispasat today announced the name of the winner of the third edition of the “Woman Engineer” scholarship, which has been Paloma Pérez Jiménez, Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Seville and with a course carried out at the University of Naples Federico II in the Erasmus programme.
The jury, meeting on June 4, was made up of Pilar Pellicer, representing the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers; Cristina de Bustos, representing the Official College of Aeronautical Engineers of Spain; and, on behalf of Hispasat, Antonio Abad, technical and operations director; Ignacio Sanchís, Business Director; Miguel Táuler, director of Resources and Organization, and Cristina Perez Cantó, director of Communication.
The jury has highly valued his academic record, his vocation for the space sector, his interest in innovation and telecommunications and his international experience.
The Hispasat “Woman Engineer” scholarship has a financial award of 5,000 euros so that an Engineering student can carry out postgraduate studies in a qualifying master's degree in Aeronautical or Telecommunications Engineering, in the space field.
The scholarship, which is annual, aims to promote the presence of female talent in the technological field and thus contribute both to the professional development of women in these studies and to the increase in the number of women in the space sector.
