The United States Space Agency begins producing and uploading videos on its YouTube channel at a resolution of 2160p at 60 fps (Ultra High Definition).
Although NASA had already launched some 4K experiences, mainly related to time-lapse recording from the International Space Station (ISS), it now announces that all its production will be in Ultra High Definition.
From NASA they assure that "the vision of life in space is a great impetus for the introduction of Ultra High Definition 4K, providing an unprecedented look at what it feels like to live and work aboard the International Space Station. This important new capability will allow researchers to work with material in high resolution and frame rate providing them with new information about the wide range of experiments that take place daily in space. It will also provide the most impressive views of planet Earth and the activities of the Space Station."
