3D Wire calls for the best animation, video game and transmedia projects
The seventh edition of 3D Wire will take place in Segovia (Spain) from October 7 to 11, 2015.
The call for national animation and video game projects is open to companies or production companies registered in Spanish territory. A maximum of 3 projects per company may be submitted, accepting all animation techniques and formats (short films, feature films, animated series and video games), as well as applications where animation has a notable presence.
A selection will be made from the projects received and published in the Market catalogue. And among them, several titles will be chosen to be presented by their own authors during the dates of the Market.
A selection will be made from among all the participants in the call for projects to receive this advice free of charge. The experts will previously receive information about the projects with the aim of helping in their development and commercial projection. During the day, each project will have private advice from experts.
Transmedia
3D Wire has a particular perspective in which animation, video games and new media create synergies, merging into a single, much more powerful industry. Furthermore, it understands that the development of these professional sectors involves new agents and participants. On the other hand, today, the way we consume and share content is constantly changing, becoming increasingly interactive. Thus, the projects are no longer conceived as animation or video games in a unilateral sense, but as transmedia products; which also involves new technologies and advanced supports such as augmented reality, 3D printing, gamification, app toys, wearables... This call is intended for this type of innovative projects.
To participate, projects must be made by European producers or be co-produced with European countries. They must also be designed to be distributed on two or more platforms.
The best European transmedia and new media projects will be published in the 3D Wire 2014 catalogue, which is distributed annually in physical and digital format in international markets and to more than 5,000 animation, video game and new media experts. In turn, some of them will be selected to be presented by their authors during the 6th edition of 3D Wire.
Registration will be open until July 20.
