Cellnex renews its collaboration with SIRTI in Italy

The agreement provides for the maintenance of Cellnex's entire telecommunications tower portfolio in Italy, which consists of more than 7,400 sites.

Cellnex Telecom has renewed its collaboration contract with Sirti, a historic Italian company specialized in the design, implementation and maintenance of network infrastructures.

The one-year agreement, with an automatic renewal clause, provides for the maintenance of Cellnex's entire portfolio of telecommunications towers in Italy, which consists of more than 7,400 sites. This collaboration reinforces and gives continuity to the relationship that has already existed for years with Cellnex Italia (Galata). More than 1,500 SIRTI engineers will work on the network of telecommunications towers present throughout the Italian territory.

Following the acquisition in March 2015 of Wind's telecommunications tower portfolio in Italy, Cellnex Telecom became the leading independent European telecommunications infrastructure operator, with a total of 15,119 towers. Cellnex has a presence in three areas of activity: mobile telephony infrastructure; audiovisual broadcasting networks, as well as security and emergency network services and solutions for the intelligent management of urban infrastructures and services (smart cities and the Internet of Things or IoT).

Por su parte, SIRTI combina la experiencia de casi un siglo en diseño, implementación y mantenimiento de la infraestructura de red, conocimientos sólidos en la entrega de servicios gestionados, integración de sistemas y smart solutions en proyectos especiales. Cuenta con presencia en Arabia Saudita, los Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Libia, Qatar, España y Escandinavia.
