Sony Day in More Than Video

On April 20, Más que Vídeo is organizing an Open Day in Barcelona where the main Sony cameras will be shown, highlighting the new 4K PXW-Z150.

More Than Video will organize the Sony Day Open House next Wednesday, April 20. Throughout this day, in morning and afternoon sessions, Más Que Vídeo will present the latest solutions from Sony for capture.

One of the stars of this day will be the new PXW-Z150 4K camera. Light in weight and easy to use, it incorporates a new function that provides wireless operation and high-quality recording in 4K (3840 x 2160 up to a maximum of 30p).

It features a 1.0-type aligned Exmor RS CMOS image sensor, providing users with spectacular 4K recording and an impressive 5x slow motion feature in Full HD, an essential feature for content creators who want to deliver top-quality corporate or personal productions.

Another of its advantages is the possibility of continuous recording with a high frame rate of up to 120 frames per second (fps), all in Full HD quality. Clear Image Zoom technology works with 24x and 18x zoom in HD and 4K modes respectively, in addition to the standard 12x optical zoom. The large size of the unique 20-megapixel 1.0-type sensor (14.2 million effective pixels) delivers sharp images even in low-light conditions, providing filmmakers with excellent clarity and sharpness and further flexible recording capabilities in a wide variety of environments. Responding to growing expectations in the audiovisual sector, which are changing at a dizzying pace, users will be able to enjoy live streaming capabilities through a wireless connection to FTP and integrated Wi-Fi.

The PXW-Z150 is ergonomically designed for easy recording. The lightweight and compact body includes advanced feature integration, eliminating the need for multiple external accessories. The built-in 4-stop ND filter is included for flexibility in controlling exposure and depth of field, and the multi-interface shoe eliminates the need for cables through easy integration between the PXW-Z150 and Sony peripherals, such as the UWP-D series wireless microphones.

The PXW-Z150 can be easily controlled via a smartphone or tablet, acting as a Wi-Fi remote, and the battery life offers a remarkable continuous recording time of 400 minutes.

Other camcorders

The PXW-X70, a compact 4K XDCAM camcorder with 1.0 type Exmor R CMOS sensor, will also be exhibited at the Sony Day in More than Video. It has a 12x zoom lens and allows recording in XAVC, AVCHD and DV, and can work under an optional update in 4K XAVC-Long 4.2.0 8-bit format at 60 Mbps with the MXF broadcast package.

Other 4K camcorders that will be present on this day are the PXW-FS55 (with 4K Exmor Super 35mm sensor) and the PXW-FS7 (XDCAM with 4K Exmor Super 35mm sensor with 14-stop exposure latitude).

Professionals will also be able to see first-hand in Más que Vídeo other Sony cameras such as the HXR-NX100 (NXCAM Full HD), HXR-MC2500 (NXCAM AVCHD HD/SD), PXW-X160/X180 (XDCAM with three 1/3” Exmor CMOS Full HD sensors) or the PXW-X200 (XDCAM with three 1/2” Exmor CMOS Full HD sensors).
