Riedel surprises at BIT Broadcast 2016 with MicroN
At the show, Riedel is exhibiting MicroN, its decentralized routing system that distributes signal load, takes advantage of its flexible node positioning, and eliminates any point of failure.
It caused a sensation at the last NAB and now arrives in Madrid on the occasion of BIT Broadcast 2016. At the fair, Riedel showcases MicroN, its decentralized routing system that distributes signal load, leverages its flexible node positioning, and eliminates any point of failure.
Compatible with any MediorNet equipment, MicroN offers in just 1U a high density of I/Os that interface multiple audio, video and data signals and that make this equipment a powerful and flexible work tool useful in any production regardless of its size or complexity.
MicroN is available in two versions that allow the device to be part of a wide network of Mediornet devices or to work in stand-alone mode with up to 2 devices on the same network for point-to-point connection, both at a very competitive price. The equipment has 12 SDI inputs and 12 outputs, 2 MADI optical ports, 1 Ethernet port, 1 configuration port and 1 sync in/out port, therefore supporting 10G high-speed video, 3G video signals, Madi audio and Gigabit Ethernet.
The system also offers a video, audio, data router, synchronization reference I/O, black burst, tri-level and word clock that generates the synchronization signal. The intrinsic processing capabilities of the system include, to mention just a few: automatic format detection, synchronization and frame storage in all its video inputs, embedding and de-embedding of 14 audio channels, signal generator...
Last Tuesday, Micron won the Panorama Award for the best solution in study.
ESP-2324 Expansion Smartpanel
Riedel is also showcasing the new ESP-2324 Expansion Smartpanel for the company's RSP-2318 Smartpanel, a powerful multifunctional user interface with features and capabilities that are changing the way broadcasters and A/V professionals communicate. When connected to an RSP-2318 Smartpanel, the new expanded control panel provides 24 new keys and four high-resolution color touch screens that are easy to read even at wide angles and sunlight brightness.
The combination of the RSP-2318 Smartpanel and only one ESP-2324 expanded control panel gives users a total of 42 keys and seven displays in just 2 rack units, which is the highest density in the intercom market. Since the Riedel RSP-2318 intercom application supports up to four ESP-2324 Expansion Smartpanels, users have the ability to expand their Smartpanel configuration to include up to 19 displays and 114 keys.
