Thanks to the new features of the Kroma by AEQ equipment, the continuity of Televisión Española improves with new options that solve problems and provide operational solutions.

Continuity 5 TVE Torrespaña

Spanish Television has installed 24” Quadsplit monitors of the brand Chrome by AEQ on the monitoring bridge that supervises continuity number 5 in Torrespaña (Madrid).

According to Francisco Hernández Bueno, deputy technical director of continuity and broadcasts at TVE in Torrespaña, he emphasizes that "the results of the Quadsplit monitors, in terms of operability and quality, have been very good for our daily operation. When it was decided at TVE Torrespaña to make a new continuity in HD, a few years had already passed and the multiscreen systems had evolved just like the large monitors and overhead projectors, but no more than the broadcast monitors. We point out that the Quadsplit 24” broadcast monitors offer other functionalities and improvements, making them a very attractive option for our continuous monitoring bridge.”

Juan José Camacho Francisco, Hernández Bueno and Juan José OlmosTVE's commitment to Quadsplit monitors from the Kroma by AEQ brand is due, among other benefits, to two main reasons, AEQ assures: the security offered by a monitoring bridge with discrete monitors and the superior video quality in Quadsplit monitors compared to multi-screen systems.

Thanks to the new features of Kroma by AEQ equipment, new options and improvements have been incorporated, solving problems and providing operational solutions.

The configuration software for the entire monitoring bridge was designed by the Spanish manufacturer AEQ according to the needs required by TVE.

This custom software has facilitated the quick creation of different Layouts, providing safeguards and allowing their recovery if necessary. It also allows individual input to each monitor that makes up the monitoring bridge, being able to make all the necessary adjustments at the level of video input selection, display VU meters, tally, UMD with the name of the source (both static and dynamic with TSL protocol)...

The alarm system included in the software gives the user the possibility of having certain alarms declared, both Audio and Video. “At a quick glance and through the audio warning, we can see if there is a problem in any available video source, being very operational and easy to configure the system,” acknowledges Hernández Bueno.
