Atresplayer positions itself on tablets and smartphones to watch television on demand
According to ComScore, nearly three million users access Atresmedia's online video platform on any device.
ComScore's CNMC Household Panel for the second quarter of 2016 positions Atresmedia as the television video platform preferred by users with a 45% share. Regarding the platforms used to watch television on demand, the use of Atresplayer (45%) stands out compared to its competitors Rtve.es (37%) and Mitele (35%).
On the other hand, another of the data extracted from this study is that users mostly choose Atresplayer despite the increase in the offer of OnDemand television content platforms, among which Yomvi (7.8% of homes with Internet), Netflix (1.8%) and Wuaki (1.1%) stand out.
These consumption patterns have been accompanied by a notable increase in Internet access through television in the last year: from 7.6% in 2015 to 10.2% in 2016.
In October, Atresplayer brought together nearly 3 million unique users who accessed 61 million videos served. Likewise, the Atresplayer application has more than 8.5 million downloads for mobile devices (tablets and smartphones; iOS, Android and Windows).
