Ulf Ewaldsson, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer at Ericsson, says: "Innovation is measured by how people can share it, use it and experience it. Thanks to our long and rich history in connectivity, we are very familiar with the relationship between innovation and experience. CES is always a fantastic stage for innovation, so we love sharing the latest technology in connectivity, 5G, with partners and our joint customers."

Experts will show on site how key aspects of our lives, such as location, environment, security, work and personalization can fundamentally change if supported by robust networks, innovative technology and the media. Partners such as Intel, Qualcomm and Volvo Cars will demonstrate the innovative solutions they have co-created with Ericsson.

Ericsson will showcase the latest 5G capabilities that operators will soon introduce, such as higher bandwidth, lower latency, increased density, lower power requirements, vastly improved security, network slicing and mobile technologies for the massive Internet of Things.

The company will use its technology and audiovisual experience through streaming and live interviews from the Ericsson Skybox for those who prefer to stay at home but want to be up to date with the event's debates.

On Thursday, January 5 from 10:30 to 11:30, Ewaldsson will talk about daily practical use cases of 5G with guests from SK Telecom and BMW. 5G use cases will also be a featured topic at the FierceWireless seminar on Friday the 6th at 7:00, in which Arun Bansal, Director of Networks at Ericsson, will speak.

“The only way we are going to achieve a 5G world is by fostering use cases that expand our understanding of what 5G technology can do, as well as deliver real value to our customers and businesses,” Ewaldsson concluded.
