Pilar Vergara will replace Inés Alba as head of the operational management of Canal Sur

The operational management has among its objectives the transformation of Canal Sur into a new business model for the production of multimedia content.

The director of Canal Sur Radio and Television (CSRTV), Joaquín Durán, has informed the Board of Directors of the resignation presented, for personal health reasons, by Inés Alba, operational director of Canal Sur, and of the adjustments that, consequently, she has made within the management team. Pilar Vergara, current Director of Strategies and Antenna, becomes the new operational director, while José Antonio del Saz, Director of Broadcasts, will assume the direction of CSTV's antenna.

The director of CSRTV has made public his gratitude to Inés Alba for her outstanding and important contribution to the management of the company during the last decade in different management positions, for her commitment, collaboration and high level of dedication and professionalism.

The one who was the first operational director of the new single company of Canal Sur Radio and Television has thanked Joaquín Durán in a letter for the trust delegated, and for what she "learned and shared" with her management colleagues and with the numerous Canal Sur teams with whom she has worked throughout Andalusia. “My will has always been to work with enthusiasm, love for our task, respect for the entire team and loyalty to the mission entrusted as a public service, vital for a strong, plural, diverse and egalitarian Andalusia.”

Inés Alba states that she has made her decision for personal reasons, since "such high responsibility requires working and living conditions that my health does not allow me to maintain with the pace and strength that I have been applying and that I believe are necessary. I therefore remain at the disposal of management with the purpose of continuing to be useful to the organization."

Pilar Vergara, a professional in the company since its inception, has held various positions of responsibility as a journalist and manager, among which the News Directorate of CSTV and the Strategies and Antenna Directorate of CSRTV stand out. The operational management, of which he is in charge from now on, has among its objectives the transformation of Canal Sur into a new company model for the production of multimedia content.

José Antonio del Saz, also a Canal Sur professional since its origins and manager of different areas in the company, will be in charge of managing Antena de Canal Sur.
