This mission of the Euskadi Audiovisual and Digital Content Cluster is the continuation of the trip that representatives of the cluster made in May 2017 to Mendoza (Argentina).

Fran ValmañaOak, the Audiovisual and Digital Content Cluster of Euskadi, has organized this week a trade mission to Buenos Aires (Argentina) in order to establish commercial relationships with the creative and digital industries of this country.

This mission is the continuation of the trip that representatives of the cluster made in May 2017 to Mendoza and in which Eiken signed a collaboration agreement with various Argentine organizations such as BACA, Buenos Aires Cluster Audiovisual; Córdoba Produces; Cluster Audiovisual Film Andes, of Mendoza, or the INCAA, National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts of Argentina.

Precisely, thanks to the collaboration of these organizations, the mission will have the institutional support of the government of Buenos Aires and 3 events will be held in important points of the city, such as the audiovisual district. Companies travel from the Basque Country Media Attack, Pausoka, Prime Time Media y Seriesland and the director of Eiken+, Fran Valmaña, representing all those companies belonging to the cluster.

The mission has also been made to coincide with the festival Buenos Aires Web Fest, the first international web series festival in Latin America, which brings together both local and international projects of high artistic level; created and marketed through the web. In this context, networking with Argentine companies in the sector will be facilitated through “matchmaking” events and work tables and, in addition, Eiken will participate in the panel Why is associativity a challenge? Advantages and disadvantages together with the BACA cluster, where they will talk
of the impact of clusters on the creative economy of cities.

Latin America is a territory of opportunities and a natural business market for the companies that make up the Eiken+ business ecosystem, by language and cultural proximity. In particular, Argentina, as one of the largest economies in Latin America, is in the midst of an economic transformation that promotes sustainable economic development with social inclusion and insertion into the global economy and opening towards Europe. Therefore, it is expected that this trip will serve as a link between Basque and Argentine companies in order to strengthen a collaboration that will last over time.
