Sony and Cisco will collaborate in the development of IP technologies for 4K/HD live production

Sony reinforces its IP Live production solution with Cisco with a collaboration designed to provide innovative and flexible IP production solutions for broadcast, medium and entertainment.

Sony is one of the main manufacturers of live production systems, which include 4K/HD system cameras, production mixers and servers. In recent years, the multinational has fully supported the transition to IP through the offer of 4K/HD study cameras, mobile units and remote production solutions for the live emissions market. Currently, more than 70 companies support the IP Live Alliance. In addition, Sony is making a great effort to standardize the AV protocol on IP, along with JT-NM, AEMS and AMWA.

Cisco is a reference company in the creation of flexible and reliable IP networks, and has developed solutions of Professional Media Networks (PMN) for media and entertainment markets, including mixers of the Nexus 9000 series and data center Network Manager (DCNM).
