Stephan Heimbecher joins Imagine Communications from Sky Deutschland

Stephan Heimbecher, after 16 years at the forefront of innovation at Sky in Germany, assumes the international management of consulting services at Imagine, based in Munich.

Imagine Communications has appointed Stephan Heimbecher like your new international director of consulting services, based in Munich. Heimbecher joins Imagine from Sky Deutschland, where he has spent the last 16 years leading innovation for the German media company.

In his new role, Heimbecher will lead a team of industry experts focused on collaborating with clients to solve the significant challenges currently facing the broadcast industry regarding innovation in production and broadcast over IP, implementation of hybrid and IP installations, cloud processes and virtualization for broadcast and distribution, and multi-platform delivery and operations across traditional and OTT platforms.

Heimbecher and his team will bring this broad range of knowledge, experience, and successful implementation models to Imagine's customer base to develop migration strategies that allow its customers to move at their own pace.

Heimbecher trae consigo más de 25 años de experiencia en la industria de la radiodifusión, un viaje que comenzó cuando se unió a las filas del mundialmente conocido Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) como investigador asociado antes de pasar a la consultoría sobre los temas de la televisión digital e interactiva. Durante más de 20 de esos años en la industria, ha estado involucrado en el desarrollo de estándares como miembro de la Junta Directiva de DVB a través de SMPTE y, más recientemente, de la UIT y la CEI, así como de otros organismos de estándares y asociaciones de la industria, incluyendo la Alianza UHD y el Foro Ultra HD. Dentro de la plataforma de televisión alemana, ha sido miembro de la junta directiva y presidente del grupo de trabajo, Ultra HD & VR, durante muchos años.
