The initiative, whose call will be open until May 31, is aimed at consolidated entities in the audiovisual sector that wish to collaborate with RTVE in a practical way, testing their innovative projects and products.

TVE subtitled

Drive Vision It is a corporate initiative of RTVE aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, with the aim of contributing to the development and competitiveness both from Spanish Radio and Television and from the audiovisual sector itself.

One of its three lines of action is Promotes Business Vision. This initiative is aimed at companies, academic institutions, foundations and, in general, consolidated entities in the sector that wish to collaborate with RTVE. This collaboration is eminently practical and is based on testing innovative or transformative projects and products.

In its first edition, the scope of application has been chosen content accessibility for all potential RTVE users. Specifically, once the specific needs in this area have been detected, it has been considered necessary to carry out tests with advanced, customizable Speech to Text systems with learning functions, both in the official language of the State and in the co-official languages of each Autonomous Community.

To do this, a maximum of two entities will be selected that will collaborate with RTVE in a joint testing environment, consisting of the verification of a speech recognition system. This system must perform a series of tasks that help the subtitling of programs, both live and recorded, which are broadcast on RTVE channels.

The Corporation was the first Spanish audiovisual group to launch accessibility services, long before the first legislation to regulate them existed.

The period for the presentation of candidatures will be open from April 1 to May 31, 2019. The bases of the call and the request for participation can be found, here.
