Globomedia prepares 'Barrio Esperanza', new social comedy for RTVE

Julio marcará el inicio de rodaje de ‘Barrio Esperanza’, una serie de humor “inspiradora” producida por Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio) que llegará próximamente a RTVE.

Creada por Iván Escobar y Antonio Sánchez Olivas y con un colegio como escenario principal, Barrio Esperanza es una comedia de carácter social y humor ácido para todos los públicos con Mariona Terés al frente de un reparto coral. Con un tono vitalista y de camaradería, destacará la importancia de la enseñanza pública y de las segundas oportunidades.

Iván Escobar, Antonio Sánchez Olivas, Laura Fernández Espeso and Javier Mendez are the executive producers of this new fiction, whose filming will begin in July and will take place entirely in different locations in the Community of Madrid. Sandra Gallego and Iñaki Peñafiel will be the directors of the eight episodes, based on the script by Iván Escobar and Antonio Sánchez Olivas, written together with Raquel Haro, Abraham Sastre, Marta Sánchez, Javier Reguilón, Raúl Díaz and Aurora Parrilla.

Mariona Terés will play the role of Esperanza, leading a cast that will also include Alejo Sauras, Mariano Peña, Juan Vinuesa, Ana Jara, María Isabel Díaz Lago, Guillermo Campra, Carlos Librado “Nene”, Ángel Héctor and Ruth Núñez, and in which the boys and girls who will give life to the protagonist's students will also be very important.

This is the synopsis of Barrio Esperanza: Esperanza was not an exemplary young woman and she was wrong about everything: with her boyfriend, with the companies and with the way to earn easy money. One mistake after mistake that finally landed her in jail. During his sentence, he took advantage of the time to study a career in teaching and pass the exam to teach at a public school. Now, as a primary school teacher, she will discover that what she learned in prison will be more useful to her than the opposition's syllabuses.
