Filming of the series, which will consist of seven 50-minute episodes, will last fifteen weeks in different locations in Valencia, Alicante and Madrid.
The filming of Paradise, the new original series of Movistar, produced in collaboration with Globomedia (The Mediapro Studio), under the direction of Fernando González Molina (Palm trees in the snow, Three meters above the sky, I want you). This genre series, with elements of adventure and mystery, is set in Spain in 1992 and has been created by Fernando González Molina himself, together with Ruth García (The incident, The protected, The boarding school, Paco's men) and David Oliva (The incident, The protected, Paco's men, The Serrano).
Paradise It is an ambitious production in which suspense and adventure go hand in hand with emotion and mystery. The series revolves around the investigation undertaken by a group of young people after the disappearance of three girls from their environment. In the midst of the transition from adolescence to adulthood, the protagonists go through a moment of uncertainty and raw emotions, where everything is experienced for the first time and feelings such as loneliness, loss, love and friendship appear. An initiatory journey of maturity, which will also appeal to the nostalgia of viewers through the setting of Spain in 1992.
It has a cast that includes Macarena García (snow white), by Iñaki Ardana (Victim number eight), and Gorka Otxoa (Pagafantas, Faith of ETA, Down There), in the main adult characters, who are accompanied by the young performers in charge of giving life to the protagonists: Pau Gimeno (Billy Elliot), Cristian López (The Lion King, Billy Elliot), León Martínez (Merlin, Superlopez), Hector Gozalbo (nothing will be the same), María Romanillos (Riot, The consequences), and Patricia Iserte.
Filming will last 15 weeks in different locations of Valencia (Albufera Natural Park, Sueca; El Perelló, Xilxes; Requena; Oliva and Villargordo del Cabriel), Alicante (Benidorm, Altea, Jávea, Santa Pola, Calpe, Sierra Helada Natural Park and Alfaz del Pi) and Madrid. Paradise It will consist of seven 50-minute episodes.
In the words of Fernando González Molina, “Paradise It is born from our desire to tell a fantastic story that connects with the references of our adolescence: Spielberg's cinema, the series V, but also Verano Azul or Compañeros. And connect them with the stories that I have liked to tell in the cinema: epic, emotional stories that seek, above all, the enjoyment of the viewer. It is a trip to entertainment cinema that we were passionate about and made us dedicate ourselves to this, but also a story about loss and the difficulty of being a teenager when you are different.”
