Netflix filming has started Feria, his new original series produced by Filmax, which has Jorge Dorado y Carles Torrens as directors.
Feria has been created by Agustín Martínez (The Hunt. Monteperdido, Without tits there is no paradise) y Carlos Montero (Elite, The mess you leave), who define it like this: "You are 17 years old, you live in Andalusia in the 90s and one day you and your sister discover that your parents have been accused of killing more than twenty people. They have disappeared and they have left us alone before a people that demands justice and revenge. Thus begins this story in which there is also a sect, grunge music, some fantastic beings, the Andalusian sun and a mine that looks like a labyrinth. All this and much more is Feria. A concept ambitious that needed a platform like Netflix that dared to produce it. And they got on board right away.”
Feria is a fantastic thriller set in a small white town in the Andalusian mountains in the mid-nineties, where its inhabitants are not as naive as they appear. The main cast is headed by the winner of a Goya for Best Actress, Marta Nieto (Mother, State Secrets), and the young actresses Ana Tomeno (The minimal island) and Carla Campra (Ladies of (h)AMPA, Everyone knows it) like the sisters Eva and Sofía. Completing the cast is Ángela Cremonte (Cable Girls, Lies), Patricia López (While the war lasts, The other look), Isak Férriz (Giants, Distances) and Ernest Villegas (Night and day, Infidels).
The plot follows two teenage sisters who discover that their parents are monsters. Eva (Ana Tomeno) and Sofía (Carla Campra) will have to face the horrible crime that seems to have been committed by their parents who, before disappearing, left behind 23 victims.
