Filming begins on 'That Night', a Spanish Netflix series with international ambition
The Basque producer Chintxua Films takes charge of 'That Night', a series of Netflix whose filming has just begun that adapts the best-selling novel of the same name by Gillian McAllister.
That Night has been created by Jason George (Narcos, Into The Night), who also serves as executive producer along with Marian Fernández Pascal (Intimacy, Amama). George He also signs the scripts with Lara Sendim (The crooked lines of God, The Innocent), who also works as a creative producer. The direction will be in charge of Jorge Dorado (Mindscape, The Head) y Liliana Torres (Mammal, Kimeres). Filming, which has just begun, will take place between the Dominican Republic and the provinces of Guipúzcoa and Navarra, in Spain.
Produce para Netflix Chintxua Films, film production company founded by director AsierI know tall and the producer Marian Fernández Pascal in Trintxerpe, Pasaia (Basque Country). Specialized in cinema with cultural roots, she has stood out with films such as (2015) and dance (2018), and series like Privacy (2022).
That Night recounts a family vacation in the Dominican Republic in which Elena (Clara Galle) hits a man with his car. Desperate and scared, she calls her sisters, Paula (Claudia Salas) and Cris (Paula Usero), asking for help. Upon arriving, they must decide how to deal with the accident, because they cannot bear the thought of their younger sister going to jail, leaving their only nephew without his mother. “How far will they be willing to go to help protect their family? That Night forces three sisters to confront the depth of love, the weight of loyalty and the limits that can be reached by family,” reads the series synopsis.
