Filming begins on 'Sin Límites', an Amazon Exclusive series produced by Mono Films and Kilima Media

Amazon Prime Video y RTVE confirm that the Amazon Exclusive series Unlimited, a production of Mono Films and Kilima Media, begins filming on April 26 in the Basque Country and Navarra.

Unlimited will show the story of a group of sailors on a journey into the unknown, in a “blockbuster” full of action and adventure that will be structured in four 60 minute episodes. Sin Límites will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Latin America, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States and Andorra.

The announcement of the confirmation of the start of filming has been accompanied by the confirmation of the cast, led by the actors Rodrigo Santoro (Last Call) and Álvaro Morte (The Money Heist). The squad is completed with Sergio Peris-Mencheta (Captain Cartagena), Adrián Lastra (Capitán Mendoza), Carlos Cuevas (Martino), Pepón Nieto (Padre Bartolomé), Raúl Tejón (Gómez de Espinosa), Gonçalo Diniz (Duarte Barbosa), Manuel Morón (Cardenal Fonseca) and Bárbara Goenaga (Beatriz).

Between Spain and the Dominican Republic

Filming for this ambitious series begins on April 26 in the Basque Country and Navarra at locations in Azkoitia, Azkorri, Lazkao, Olite and the Cathedral of Pamplona, ​​before moving to the Dominican Republic (where the maritime sequences will be filmed at the well-known Pinewood Studios). Afterwards, Madrid and Seville will be settings for new shots.

To recreate the trip, the ships Victoria and Trinidad will be reconstructed, and the replica of the Nao Victoria will be used, the only one of the five ships of the expedition that returned to port and, therefore, the first ship to circumnavigate the world.

Top-level technical team

The project, presented in February 2020 at the Navy Headquarters, is part of a collaboration agreement signed by RTVE and the Spanish Ministry of Defense in March 2018, on the occasion of the fifth centenary of the first circumnavigation of the world. Unlimited produced by Mono Films y Hill Media, has a top-level technical team led by the British director Simon West, who has a long history in action and adventure films (Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The General's Daughter, The Expendables 2); and the producer Miguel Menendez de Zubillaga (The Infinite Trench, Loving Pablo, The Newspaper Boy, Camarón). The script is written by Patxi Amezcua (Disappeared, The shadow of the law, The warning).
