Filming of 'El Molino', a costumbrista drama produced by La Caña Brothers, begins
Alfonso Cortés-Cavanillas directs 'El Molino', a drama promoted by La Caña Brothers whose filming has just begun.
The Mill, tape defined as a “traditional drama", tells the story of Mayte (Pilar López de Ayala), an engineer who returns to a small town, with only 12 inhabitants, to carry out an important project. Her visit coincides with the preparation of the valley's annual event, "La Bajá". Jaime (Asier Etxeandía), her childhood love, an old man with Alzheimer's, a young woman who dreams of leaving the valley, a graduate who works alongside the engineer and a familiar woman who seeks the future in the town. They make up this story of characters, whose lives are connected by an old windmill.
He department se completa con figuras como Imanol Arias, Claudia Traisac, Nur Olabarría, Pablo Rivero, Abril Zamora, Carla Domínguez, Rocio Calvo, Jorge Basanta, Luismi Ramírez, Ángela Arellano, Maria Teresa Altés o Antonio Sarrió.
He filming del que es el quinto largometraje producido por La Caña Brothers acaba de comenzar y se extenderá durante cinco semanas en varias localizaciones de Cantabria, Madrid y Alemania. La cinta contará con la dirección del director madrileño Alfonso Cortés-Cavanillas (Lobo, Ego, Deaf, Los días no vividos).
The premiere of El molino está previsto para 2023.
