Filming of 'Vota Juan', a series produced by TNT and 100 Balas, ends
The series, which addresses the world of politics in a comedic way, stars Javier Cámara.
After almost two months of work, this week the filming of Vote Juan, series produced by the television channel TNT y 100 Reply (Mediapro), starring Javier Cámara and created by Diego San José (Eight Basque surnames) and Juan Cavestany (Shame).
The series, which addresses the world of politics in a comedic way, follows the steps of Juan Carrasco, a not particularly brilliant Minister of Agriculture who, after a series of coincidences that awaken his ambition, decides to take the step and present himself as a candidate to head his party and thus run for the presidency of the Government.
Like any good politician, Juan will be accompanied by a campaign team that includes María Pujalte, playing his communications director; Nuria Mencía, as his chief of staff, and Adam Jezierski, as Juan's personal secretary.
The action takes place in offices, press rooms or television sets but also focuses on what happens when the protagonists leave the spotlight.
Javier Cámara has commented that “we have had a lot of influence on the humanity of the characters, on seeing what happens behind the scenes of politics and how these characters behave when they get home,” he says.
Vote Juan consists of eight 30-minute episodes born from the original idea by Diego San José and Juan Cavestany. The development of the scripts has had the participation of Víctor García León, Daniel Castro and Tom Fernández. As for the direction, David Serrano and García León himself They have been responsible for directing the eight episodes of the series.
The cast is completed with the participation of Joaquín Climent, who plays Luis Vallejo, an old-school politician who is the link with Moncloa; Pedro Ángel Roca as Pascual Anduga, the minister's knowledgeable bodyguard. The closest and most familiar environment of the minister is played by Mona Martínez, as Juan's housekeeper; Yaël Belicha, as Paula, Juan's wife from a distance and Esty Quesada (Soy una pringada), who plays Eva Carrasco, Juan's teenage daughter.
Vota Juan will premiere next season on TNT.
