Filming of 'The Unknown' begins, produced by Elamedia and Formula Cine

Locations in Madrid and Albacete host the filming of The unknown, film by Pablo Maqueda (Dear Werner. Walking on cinema) based on the work Grooming by Paco Bezerra.

This production of Formula Cinema A.I.E and Elamedia, which will be distributed by Filmax, stars Laia Manzanares (the kingdom), Goya winner Manolo Solo (The good boss) and Eva Llorach, Goya for best actress for Who will sing to you. In addition, it has the special participation of Blanca Parés (Julieta). The project was awarded by Abycine Lanza and has a script by Maqueda himself, Haizea G. Viana and Paco Bezerra.

This is how the director introduces us to the universe of The unknown: "We all have secrets. Dark desires that could scare those around us. With The unknown I want to delve into them, into the unknown, into the most terrible darkness that could be hidden by any person we pass on the street. Being able to create a complex character like 'the unknown' has been a real challenge, and telling this story with Laia and Manolo is a wish come true."

The film has been supported by the ICAA, Community and City Council of Madrid, Fundación Impulsa Castilla La Mancha and ECAM with the participation of Telemadrid and Castilla La Mancha Media TV. This is its synopsis: "Carolina (Laia Manzanares) is a naive and charming young woman who meets Leo (Manolo Solo) through a chat. He is an adult man who has posed as a 16-year-old boy and by tricking her, he has managed to meet her in a secluded city park. But as Leo gets to know Carolina he begins to suspect that perhaps she is not as innocent and harmless as she appears."
