Filming begins on 'Politically Incorrect', Atresmedia Cine's next film
Arantxa Echevarría is already directing the filming of 'Politically Incorrect', a film by Atresmedia Cinema about the political polarization that takes place in a high-tension campaign.
politically incorrect is inspired by the current political scene, as confirmed by its director, Arantxa Echevarría: “We are trying to make fiction surpass reality, but they are making it very difficult for us.” The last movie of Lazona, Atresmedia Cinema y Scarecrow Films AIE, with the participation of Atresmedia y Netflix, addresses its filming during these weeks, which will last until the second week of August.
Adriana Torrebejano, Juanlu González, Gonzalo de Castro, María Hervás, Elena Irureta, Pepa Aniorte and Raúl Cimas will be in charge of giving life to the script signed by Olatz Arroyo. The premiere of the film, which will be brought to theaters by DeAPlanet, is scheduled for February 23, 2024.
This is the synopsis of politically incorrect: "Spain boils with tension, the country is totally polarized and social networks burn daily... The NEW LEFT and LIBERAL SPAIN parties face each other in the next general elections. Laura, a progressive flute dog, and Pablo, a posh man with a vest, are willing to wallow in the political mud to achieve victory for their respective leaders. But as always happens in politics, when rivals throw themselves into the arena, nothing goes as expected. Old grudges, unfulfilled programs and forbidden loves will travel in an electoral machine at full throttle and without brakes... what can go wrong?
