Filming begins on 'Bajo Terapia', Gerardo Herrero's new film

Pamplona hosts the filming of Under Therapy, a production of Litmus and Alcavarán Films AIE directed by Gerardo Herrero.

Under Therapy is a comedy film starring three couples who will participate in a “very particular therapeutic session.” The film, directed by Gerardo Herrero (Silence in the snow, The difficult airs, Heroine), is based on the play of the same name by Matias Del Federico which was also adapted in Spain under the direction of Daniel Veronese.

The protagonists of this choral comedy are Malena Alterio (Mom is on Tilink, Shame), Alexandra Jiménez (The innocent, The distances), Feli Martínez (I'm alive, Bad education), Antonio Pagudo (Mom is on Tilink, The one that is coming), Eva Ugarte (Look what you've done, Mom is on Tilink) and Juan Carlos Vellido (El Hierro, Pirates of the Caribbean 4). Under Therapy It is a co-production between Litmus y Alcavarán Films A.I.E. which has the support of Government of Navarra. Distribution in Spain is in the hands of Syldavia Cinema and international sales by Heartbeat Films.

This is the synopsis of Under Therapy: “Una psicóloga propone a tres parejas una sesión grupal donde se tendrán que analizar entre ellos sin su presencia. Les ha dejado unos sobres con indicaciones de lo que tienen que tratar. Le mecánica propuesta alienta a que todos opinen, discutan y se muestren tal y como son. Todos son fiscales y abogados defensores. Todos interrogan, confiesan, se desnudan emocionalmente, se arrepienten de lo que dicen, juegan a provocar. Una comedia de personajes realistas, con mucho humor hasta el giro final que congelará la sonrisa y en un instante todo cobrará un sentido distinto”.
