Sorogoyen directs 'El ser loved', a new production together with Movistar Plus+ with Javier Bardem

Movistar Plus+ has announced the first details and the imminent start of filming of 'El ser loved', a feature film that will feature Javier Bardem and Victoria Luengo as protagonists and that will be directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen ('The New Years', 'As Bestas').

The loved one It is an original movie Movistar Plus+ in co-production with Horse Films and El Ser Querido, with the co-production of The Pact in France, which is funded by the ICAA and supported by the Creative Europe Media Programme. The film will be released in theaters, will be distributed by A Contracorriente Films and later it will arrive exclusively to Movistar Plus+. International sales will be carried out by Goodfellas.

In The loved one, an acclaimed film director and his daughter, an unsuccessful actress, shoot a film together after years of estrangement and a difficult past that neither of them has wanted to talk about. Rodrigo Sorogoyen (New years, As Bestas) will direct this project written by himself along with the screenwriter Isabel Pena (Blackout, Anti-disturbances, The Beasts).

Javier Bardem, one of the most famous and awarded actors on the national and international scene, is returning to film in Spain after his award-winning role in The good boss by Fernando León de Aranoa, which earned him, among others, the Goya for Best Actor and the Platino, Forqué and Feroz awards. Bardem cuenta, además, con cuatro nominaciones a los premios Oscar y ha obtenido en una ocasión la preciada estatuilla por su interpretación en No es país para viejos, película por la que también fue galardonado con un Globo de Oro, un Premio Bafta y un Premio SAG.

For its part, Victoria Luengo ha logrado un reconocimiento amplio de público y crítica, tanto en teatro, cine como en televisión. En cine, ha participado en títulos como The next room, el último filme de Pedro Almódovar aún pendiente de estreno o Suro, película por la que obtuvo el Premio Gaudí a Mejor Actriz y una nominación como Mejor Actriz en los Premios Goya. En televisión, ha sido protagonista de Anti-disturbances, the multi-award-winning Movistar Plus+ original series directed by Sorogoyen himself, with which she won the Ondas Award for Best Actress, or Red Queen.
