Fernando González Molina brings 'The invisible guardian' to the cinema
The filming of this thriller based on the first installment of the literary phenomenon the 'Baztán Trilogy' will last 9 weeks between Navarra and Madrid.
This Monday the filming of The invisible guardian, thriller directed by Fernando González Molina (Palm trees in the snow) which has a cast headed by Marta Etura (Cell 211 y The man of a thousand faces), Elvira Mínguez (The unknown y Truman), Carlos Librado “Nene”, Francesc Orella (Lasa and Zabala, Stella Cadente), Itziar Aizpuru (The flowers), Patricia López, Mikel Losada, Miquel Fernández (One hundred years of forgiveness, Vulcania), Quique Gago with Pedro Casablanc (B, Truman), Paco Tous (We are honest people, 23-F: The movie), Ramon Barea (The broken crown, Negotiator), Manolo Solo (B, The minimal island) and Susi Sánchez (Julieta, Truman).
The film is a production of Atresmedia Cine, Nostromo Pictures and El Guardian Invisible AIE in co-production with Nadcon and DeAPlaneta, in charge of its distribution.
This thriller is the film adaptation of The invisible guardian, first installment of the literary phenomenon Baztan Trilogy by the writer Dolores Redondo, which has more than 700,000 readers and has just been published in the United States.
Acclaimed by critics and the public, and published around the world in more than 30 languages, the novel transports the viewer to a hypnotic and brutal world, to which they travel with the help of Amaia Salazar (Marta Etura), chief inspector of Homicide in the Navarra Provincial Police. A tough, brave, intuitive, strict woman, with an innate ability to notice human evil and, marked by a childhood trauma that she keeps silent...
On the banks of the Baztán River, in the Navarra Valley, the naked body of a teenager appears in a circumstance that links it to a murder that occurred a month ago...
Inspector Amaia Salazar leads the investigation that will take her back to the town of Elizondo, where she grew up and from which she has tried to escape her entire life. Faced with the complicated implications of the case and her own ghosts, Amaia's investigation is a race against time to find a relentless murderer, in a land fertile in superstitions and witchcraft... and fiction film television that occupies a leading position in the Spanish film sector.
The filming of this thriller will last nine weeks between Navarra and Madrid. After filming in the Baztán Valley, in three weeks the team will move to Elizondo, the same place where the novel on which it is based takes place.
