Silverspace brings another way of making films to the Malaga Festival

The production company Silverspace presents two film productions 'Daisy Cutter' and 'Un Mundo Casi Perfecto' in this new edition of the Malaga Festival. Enrique García and Rubén Salazar also go to Málaga to look for co-production partners, investors and distributors for their upcoming live-action and 3D animation productions.

The production company Silverspace, based in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Álava), attends this new edition of the Malaga Festival with two film productions Daisy Cutter y An Almost Perfect World.

Daisy Cutter (La Cortadora de Margaritas), is a 3D animated short film set in the Iraq war, which is competing in the Official Short Film Section and will be screened on Tuesday, March 29.

Written, directed and produced by the promoters of Silverspace, Enrique García and Rubén Salazar, this is their latest work in the field of 3-dimensional animation, where they deal with a delicate topic such as the situation of the youngest and most defenseless, children, who find themselves in the middle of war conflicts that they are not even able to understand. The artistic direction is by Jorge Sánchez and it has a beautiful and emotional soundtrack composed by the musician Aritz Villodas and performed by him on the piano together with the string quartet “Alos Quartet”.
Daisy Cutter Since its simultaneous premiere on three continents in November 2010, it has garnered a total of 17 film awards at festivals in Spain, the United States, Italy, Ukraine and Jordan and has accumulated more than eighty official selections at film festivals, including the Malaga Festival.

For its part, An Almost Perfect World, is a film directed by Esteban and José Miguel Ibarretxe, produced by Armonika from Bilbao, with the participation of ETB and Silverspace as associate producers. This comedy has been selected in Malaga for the competition in the ZonaZine section, and its screening takes place on Thursday, March 31.

The Ibarretxe brothers describe An Almost Perfect World, as "a politically and socially incorrect comedy, and therefore doubly necessary as it is a primal gesture of freedom in a world in which, like never before, even the smallest cultural expressions are born and die subject to an alleged correction that is nothing more than a wasteland of fear and misery in which the satraps of globalization try to dilute us and make us disappear. If we let ourselves, of course."
The premiere of An Almost Perfect World will take place next summer.
