And as time passes, the order becomes a time bomb; there will be no turning back."

Dinner is set in the day April 15, 1939, date on which, two weeks after the end of the Civil War, Franco He proposes celebrating the victory with a dinner with all his generals. What he doesn't know, the synopsis says, is that dinner will be prepared by some Republican cooks who are facing their last opportunity to flee the country.

The Palace Hotel as the center of action in the film promises a powerful visual work where the light insistently shades joy, fear and violence. A place where it seems that peace has been declared, but fear is still present. In this small post-war Spanish world many elements of the conflict.”

'The dinner' has the participation of RTVE, Movistar Plus+ and Crea SGR, in association with Film Factory Entertainment. The film, which benefits from financing from the Ministry of Culture, Institut Valencià de Cultura and Madrid City Council, will arrive in theaters thanks to Against the current.
