The Film Festival increases the number of spectators by 10%

Más de 1.825.800 espectadores asistieron a la Fiesta del Cine. ‘Aladdin’ ha sido la película más vista de esta edición, seguida de John Wick 3 – Parabellum’ y ‘Rocketman’.

Film FestivalSegún datos provisionales de la consultora comScore la XVI edición de la Film Festival ha registrado un total de 1.825.800 espectadores, lo que supone un incremento del 10% respecto a la edición de mayo de 2018.

Aladdin lidera el Top 10 de películas de esta nueva edición de la Fiesta del Cine seguido de John Wick 3 – Parabellum, Rocketman, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Lo dejo cuando quiera, Vengadores: Endgame, El hijo, Timadoras compulsivas, Hellboy e Infiltrado en Miami.

Los organizadores celebran el apoyo y seguimiento que los espectadores han dado a la Fiesta del Cine en su décimo aniversario, y han mostrado su agradecimiento a todos aquellos que durante estos tres días han disfrutado del cine en pantalla grande.

The Film Festival is an initiative organized by the Federation of Film Distributors (FEDICINE), the Federation of Cinemas of Spain (FECE) and the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), which seeks to encourage attendance at cinemas as a social and cultural habit, and show the Industry's gratitude to all the spectators who enjoy the magic of films on the big screen every year.
10th year of Film Festival

This new edition of the Film Festival has coincided with its tenth anniversary (2009-2019). The first edition was held in June 2009 and was attended by 342,000 spectators.

On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the event, the Film Festival has given viewers a voice and vote so that, through the event's social networks, they could choose their favorite film, director, actor and actress among the ten highest-grossing Spanish films at the Film Festival.

Last Friday, May 31, at an event held in Madrid, the organizers presented these special awards to Champions like the favorite movie, J.A. Bayonne, as the favorite director for Impossible, Gloria Ramos as the favorite actress for Champions and Javier Gutiérrez as the favorite actor for The minimal island.
