'La trinchera infinita', by Arregi, Garaño and Goenaga, Premio Feroz Film Festival 2019
Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño and Jose Mari Goenaga have collected the award from the president of the Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain (AICE), María Guerra, and the director Daniel Sánchez Arévalo.
The movie of Aitor Arregi, Jon Garaño and Jose Mari Goenaga The infinite trench has been the winner of the Premio Feroz Film Festival 2019 that distinguishes the best film in competition in the official section of the San Sebastian Film Festival.
The three directors have collected the award from the president of the Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain (AICE), Maria Guerra, and the director Daniel Sánchez Arevalo in an event held at Espacio Keler in the capital of San Sebastian.
“The infinite trench It is a film that talks about us, about our current moment," says María Guerra. "Fear has taken over societies and what this complex love story teaches us is that we must get rid of fears to move forward. The Basque directors, Jon Garaño, Jose Mari Goenaga and Aitor Arregi manage in their fourth film to show a story of what Spain has been like in recent decades through two wonderful performances by Belén Cuesta and Antonio De la Torre. For all these values, along with its successful visual presentation, the Association of Film Reporters of Spain wants to recognize The infinite trench with the Feroz Zinemaldia Award.”
In its five previous calls, the awarded films were Who will sing to you, by Carlos Vermut; The Disaster Artist, by James Franco; The man of a thousand faces, by Alberto Rodríguez; Truman, by Cesc Gay; and The minimal island, by Alberto Rodríguez.

In addition, the president of the AICE has explained that the machinery for the Feroz 2020 Awards is underway: registration for series and films has been open for three weeks and the Association's board of directors is finalizing the details of the gala, which will be announced soon. The first round of voting will be held between November 13 and 20 and the nominees will be announced on Tuesday, November 26.
The AICE is a plural group of more than 230 journalists and critics dedicated to reporting on cinema on television, radio, press and the Internet throughout the country. Since 2014, they have presented the Feroz Awards to highlight the best of Spanish audiovisual production of the year.
This Association also awards the Feroz Puerta Oscura Award, which distinguishes the best feature film in the Official Section of the Malaga Festival and the Feroz Cinema Jove Award for Best Short Film within the film festival of the Institut Valencià de Cultura.
