Álex Pina (Vancouver Media) shoots 'Sky Rojo' for Netflix

The series directed by Eduardo Chapero-Jackson and Javier Quintas It will have two seasons of 8 episodes of 25 minutes in length, a differentiating footage commitment in drama.

Next Monday the filming of the new Netflix original series will begin, Sky Red, created by Alex Pina (La casa de papel, White lines, Vis a vis) and Esther Martinez Lobato (The Embarcadero, Vis a Vis).

The series, whose filming will take place in different locations between Madrid and Tenerife, It will have two seasons of 8 episodes of 25 minutes in length, a differentiating footage commitment in drama.

Pina's new project tells the story of three prostitutes who flee the hostess club where they lived after leaving their pimp seriously injured and half-paralyzed. A Cuban, an Argentinian and a Spanish woman embark on a road trip knowing that, after what they have done, they are dead. With several serious crimes behind them for which they cannot go to the police, and with the pimp's hitmen hot on their heels, they have only two options left: flee or stand up to their pursuers and fight back.

Created by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, directed by Eduardo Chapero-Jackson and Javier Quintas, Sky Rojo has an international cast led by Verónica Sánchez (The pier, Gordos, South of Granada, The thirteen roses), the Cuban actress Yany Prado (The double life of Estela Carrillo, The queen is me, Ringo, the fight of her life) and the Argentine actress and singer Lali Espósito (Floricienta, Sweet love, Almost angels, My hope).

The cast is completed by Asier Etxeandia (Pain and Glory, Velvet, MA MA, The Bride), Miguel Ángel Silvestre (Death row, Velvet, Sense8, Without tits there is no paradise) and Enric Auquer (Who kills with iron, The invisible line, Perfect life).

The creators of the series, Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, assure that "Sky Rojo is the story of a hunt, that of three women who flee from the pimp who extorted them. Adrenaline in a genre of constant persecution, where six charismatic characters act in a merciless manner. And beneath them, we portray the impunity, ambiguity and brutal reality of prostitution, and the psychological portraits of those who stand on both sides of the balance. It is a Trojan horse that bursts onto the screen with the shell of hedonism, aesthetics, and action, but where underlying the murky depths and dilemmas that will make the viewer oscillate in that same moral ambiguity.

Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, in addition to being creators, are the executive producers along with Jesús Colmenar of this new proposal of Vancouver Media for Netflix and will have David Barrocal and Migue Amoedo as co-executive producers. Eduardo Chapero-Jackson and Javier Quintas are the directors of Sky Red, while Migue Amoedo takes the reins of photography direction. Juan López Olivar and Cristina López Ferraz are in charge of production management. The script team is made up of Álex Pina, Esther Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, Javier Gómez Santander, Mercedes Rodrigo and Manuel Jabois.
