El Institute of Immersive Media (IIM), in collaboration with Netflix, has created a training initiative aimed at female professionals with the aim of boosting their skills in virtual production, one of the most pioneering areas currently in the creative and audiovisual industry.

The initiative Women’s Virtual Production Training will provide European participants (from fields such as the film industry, VFX, animation, among others) with the tools to apply their knowledge and experience to virtual production, improving their skills and expanding their capabilities.

Virtual production, a booming trend, not only creates development opportunities and the generation of new roles within the audiovisual industry, it is also a way to address the low female representation in the industry, both in Europe and globally. Professionals rresidents in Spain, Germany, Austria and Poland, who will be able to benefit from both the practical training that will be given in Berlin, Warsaw and Madrid as well as an online learning phase. The training will be taught by professionals in the field of virtual production, and will address all aspects of the discipline in an exhaustive program where they will acquire the skills required to work on high-level productions. The initiative will also be an opportunity to network and share ideas with other figures in the creative community.

By providing training in audiovisual production techniques we seek to improve representation in the sector throughout Europe.
