Atresmedia and Netflix close an unprecedented agreement in Spain for the international production of a new season of 'La casa de papel'

The original Atresmedia series embarks on a new stage in payment after its success on Antena 3 and its international leap. Netflix and Vancouver Media will produce the new episodes of 'La Casa de Papel' that will feature a good part of the main cast.

Atresmedia and Netflix, together with Vancouver Media, have reached an unprecedented agreement in Spain for the production of the new season of The Money Heist, the most successful Spanish series in the world.

In this way, the original Atresmedia series, which closed its life cycle on free-to-air television on Antena 3 as a cult series, now embarks on a new stage in payment throughout the world with the help of Netflix, which will produce the new chapters with Vancouver Media.

For the Spanish audiovisual group, this new operation represents the consolidation of the new phase of its exploitation model for its series. Thus, it manages to extend the life cycle of one of the most valued products of its Atresmedia Series label.

Produced by Atresmedia Televisión, in collaboration with Vancouver Media, The Money Heist boasts a great acting cast: Úrsula Corberó, Itziar Ituño, Álvaro Morte, Paco Tous, Pedro Alonso, Alba Flores, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Esther Acebo, Enrique Arce, María Pedraza, Darko Peric, Fran Morcillo or Kity Manver.

Created by Álex Pina, the series is directed by Jesús Colmenar, Álex Rodrigo, Alejandro Bazzano and Miguel Ángel Vivas. Migue Amoedo is in charge of the photography direction; while the script will be written by Alex Pina himself along with Esther Martínez Lobato, David Barrocal, Pablo Roa, Esther Morales Fernando San Cristóbal, and Javier Gómez Santander.
