The creators of 'La casa de papel' are preparing their new series: 'The jetty'

Álex Pina, Jesús Colmenar and Sonia Martínez, executive producers of 'La casa de Papel', are already preparing 'El Embaradero', the new original series for Movistar+, created and produced by Atresmedia Studios and Vancouver Media.

In fact, it has become the most watched Spanish series in Netflix history all over the world.

Alex Pina, creator of The Money Heist, Jesús Colmenar and Sonia Martínez, executive producers, will reprise their roles in The pier, the new original Movistar+ series that will also feature Álvaro Morte (The Money Heist) as the male protagonist.

The project will feature the rest of the creative and technical team that worked on The Money Heist as Migue Amoedo (director of photography) and the scriptwriters, Javier Gómez Santander, David Barrocal, Emilio Díez, Jelen Morales and Alberto Úcar, coordinated by the executive producer Esther Martínez Lobato. Jesús Colmenar is the director of the series along with Álex Rodrigo.

The agreement between Movistar+ and Atresmedia Studios for the development and production of The pier certifies an unprecedented operation in the national audiovisual sector and that represents a new form of collaboration between two of the main fiction references in the paid and open markets, respectively.

Filming in the Albufera

Filming of the series will begin next May and will continue until the end of the year, with Valencia and the natural environment of the Albufera being the epicenter of the recordings.

The pier is a drama set in the present day starring two women, Alejandra and Verónica, whose destinies become intertwined after the sudden death of Óscar, the man with whom they shared, separately, their lives.
