Atresmedia and Fundación Universia join forces to promote the employment of people with disabilities
In 2021, both entities will launch a project to grant scholarships for 30 students within the extensive catalog of Atresmedia Formación courses.
Atresmedia, next to the Universia Foundation, entities committed to the diversity and inclusion of people with disabilities, will launch a joint project in 2021 to promote the employability of people with disabilities in the audiovisual sector and thus be able to improve their employment opportunities.
It will be through a scholarship granting program to train in one of the 50 courses taught within the Atresmedia Formación catalogue. This collaboration between both entities will begin with the granting of 30 scholarships starting January 1, 2021.
The Corporate General Director of Atresmedia, Patricia Perez, and the director of the Universia Foundation, Sonia Viñas, signed this agreement this Thursday, December 17, at the headquarters of the audiovisual group, in an event that was attended by Lucio Fernandez, Director of Human Resources at Atresmedia, Susana Gato, Group Corporate Responsibility Manager and Beatriz Arribas Choir, responsible for Employability at Fundación Universia.
Scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to learn from professionals with extensive experience in different subjects related to the audiovisual and business sector.
Atresmedia will finance 80% of the training scholarship for each student and the Universia Foundation will disseminate these training aid among the people with disabilities to whom it directs its activities. To be able to access them, they must be over 18 years old, have a disability certificate equal to or greater than 33% and a Professional Training or University Degree related to Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations, Audiovisuals or similar.
Through these scholarships they will be able to receive some of the courses available in the Atresmedia Formación catalogue, a project aimed at training future audiovisual media professionals in a commitment to the progress and development of the sector.
