Charmex incorporates Roland ProAV solutions into its catalog

Charmex has reached an agreement with Roland ProAV to distribute its professional video and audio solutions of Japanese origin in Europe.

The Roland ProAV product portfolio ranges from a simple solution to a compact video mixer with a wealth of signal processing functionality. Both video and data can be mixed and streamed, up to 4K UHD resolution and in all formats. All-in-one solutions including audio mixing.

The addition of this range of products will allow Charmex to continue offering added value to its customers, as well as new business opportunities, with a series of useful video tools, such as small converters and matrix switches, ideal for the rental and installation market.

As part of its ongoing training program for the channel, the wholesaler will offer demonstrations, technical and commercial training on products from the Roland ProAV catalog in both Spain and Portugal.

VC-100UHD and P-20HD

Among the new features that Roland has incorporated into its solutions portfolio is the Ultra Scaler VC-100UHD and the P-20HD Video Instant Replayer.

The first is a processor that allows users to connect video sources in 4K and 1080p format and distribute them to multiple destinations at once, including 4K LED video walls, HD displays and streaming via USB 3.0. It also supports frame rates of up to 240 Hz, well suited for use in eSports.

For its part, the P-20HD adds the magic of instant replay to local productions. With intuitive controls and a color LCD screen built into the device, a single operator can run action replays allowing fans to relive important moments.

The P-20HD solution natively records in H.264 directly to SDHC cards so files can be uploaded to most platforms without needing to go through any intermediate conversion steps.
