Sony has added to its portfolio the new FX3 Combining the best of digital cinema technology with the advanced image features of Alpha mirrorless cameras to deliver a unique cinematic look.

As a latest addition to Sony's Cinema line, the FX3 offers a cinematic look and a professional operability and reliability, all on one device.

It features world-class focus performance, optical image stabilization, hand-firing design and advanced heat dissipation to extend recording times. All this in a compact and lightweight body that offers the performance and mobility needed to meet the growing demands of today's content creators.

The FX3 boasts Sony's image sensor technology to achieve high processing speeds and exceptional image quality. the Full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor and backlit features 10.2 megapixels (approximately effective) for video recording (and 12.1 megapixels effective for photographs) and the BIONZ XR image processing they are joined together to ensure high sensitivity with low noise. The range Iso standard is 80 to 102,400 (expandable to 409,600 when a video is recorded), and the dynamic range it's impressively broad, more than 15 stops.

In response to the growing need for more expressive depth, the FX3, along with cinema cameras of the Cinema FX9 and FX6 line, allows users to create a cinematic look without the need for post-production using S-Cinetone. Based on the science of color inspired by Sony's iconic Venice camera, the S-Cinetone provides natural midtonesbesides soft colors and soft reflections that are essential to the cinematic aspect.

The camera is capable of recording 4K at a speed of up to 120 frames per second, soft slow motion up to 5x QFHD resolution (3840 x 2160) and all with autofocus.

Sony FX3only weighs 715 grams, including battery and memory cards, and the body is 77.8 mm high, 129.7 mm wide and 84.5 mm deep, without protrusions. These features make it ideal for hand-recording or drone mounting. Its handle has been carefully designed to provide optimal flexibility, stability and comfort for long shots.

The FX3 body has five thread holes (1/4-20 UNC) for easily attach compatible accessories, while still being light enough to record by hand and facilitating its transport and configuration. the handle with XLR Supplied securely attaches to the body through the multi-interface shoe without the need for special tools and offers three additional thread holes for accessories: two at the top and one at the end. In addition, external monitors, recorders, wireless microphone receivers, accessory shoe kit (cold shoe plate) or other accessories can be securely attached.

To allow for a high-quality audio, the XLR handle unit includes two XLR/TRS audio inputs for the FX3. With an optional XLR microphone, digital audio data can be transferred directly to the camera for exceptional audio quality. Camera settings provide audio recording formats, including 4-channel 24-bit recording.
