Radio Gramma (Cuba) installs the first AEQ Forum-IP digital audio console

Radio Granma, one of the stations managed by the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) since 1932 in the city of Manzanillo, is the first station in the country that will use the AEQ Forum digital console.

In this case, the ICRT has opted for a digital console AEQ Forum IP. For the last 25 years, the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television has had AEQ technology in terms of audiocodec for communications over ISDN as hybrids for standard telephone lines. The ICRT did not want to use digital radio consoles until it had the guarantee of being able to operate them at full capacity and provide them with correct maintenance. Tras el éxito de esta experiencia, han decidido digitalizar diez estaciones en base a la consola Forum IP, equipo también modular y con grandes prestaciones, pero de coste más ajustado que el usado en la estación piloto, y con la ventaja de poder conectarse a través de IP.

Y es en Radio Granma, en Manzanillo, a más de 600 kilómetros de la Habana, donde, tras el estudio y la configuración del equipo, la dirección técnica del ICRT ha optado la instalación de la primera consola digital AEQ Forum del país, confiando en su fiabilidad y sencillez de mantenimiento.
