The Secretary of State, Roberto Sánchez, will inaugurate the 5G Forum 2021
The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, Roberto Sánchez, will inaugurate the fourth edition of the 5G Forum of Spain, which will be held from May 4 to 6, and which has become the most important specific Spanish event on 5G.
"There are already 800,000 buildings and 21 million Spaniards, almost half of the population, with access to 5G. In addition, there are 120 use cases to explore productive applications in many industrial sectors," highlights Roberto Sánchez, whose presentation will focus on Strategy to Promote 5G in Spain.
Initially, the 5G Forum 2021 was going to be inaugurated by Maite Arcos, general director of Telecommunications of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. But the dismissal of Arcos, on April 20, and the relevance of the event, has led his superior and Secretary of State, Roberto Sánchez, to assume the opening of the main specific event on 5G in Spain (on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona).
Spanish companies such as Telefónica, Cellnex, MINSAIT, Hispasat, Axión, RTVE... have opted this year to make a strong demonstration of their power in 5G at the 5G Forum 2021. These, among other companies and institutions, will show at the 5G Forum 2021 all the muscle they have in the deployment of 5G technology in a market of 47 million consumers and which has placed Spain among the leading countries in Europe in this new technology of the future.

The 5G Forum, which begins next Tuesday, May 4 and will conclude on Thursday, May 6 after 36 presentations, 7 panels, dozens of question and answer sessions, and B2B business meetings, is for the fourth consecutive year the main meeting point for businessmen, professionals, managers, multinationals and universities interested in 5G to update knowledge and do business in the new virtual era.
The 5G Forum, which is organized by Medina Media Events which has Panorama Audiovisual As a media partner, it has brought together the main agents of this new technology annually since 2018. The first two editions were in person at the National Digital Content Pole in Malaga, and the 2020 edition was virtual, like this year.
