The former vice president of The Coca Cola Company (2015-2017) and former deputy for Ciudadanos, Marcos de Quinto, has begun a round of consultations with investors in order to finance the launch of a new national television project that will be called La Séptima.

Together with De Quinto, the Murcian businessman has already embarked on the project. Juan Francisco Zambudio, president of the Zambudio Communication Group (Televisión Murciana, Economía de Mallorca or Murcia Diario…); and the president of Naturhouse and co-founder of Societat Civil Catalana, Felix Revuelta.

This new free-to-air television channel, which would broadcast through DTT by reaching an agreement with some of the current concessionaires, could begin its broadcasts at the end of this year simultaneously on digital terrestrial and as an OTT platform, thus also achieving Latin American distribution.

The Seventh, according to its promoters, will not be subject to the interests of any political formation or any particular creed since “it aims to bring together all defenders of liberal democracies and freedoms, both individual and free enterprise, regardless of their political preferences.” However, in the sector this project is already seen as a counterweight to LaSexta (Atresmedia).

In the Executive management, according to a statement from the new channel "there will be some of the most recognized professionals with the most experience in the audiovisual sector at a national and international level", although they have not specified any names at the moment.

La Séptima will have studios in Madrid and in the facilities that the Zambudio Group has in Murcia.
