Miguel Ángel Arango will lead the development department of new formats at 16 Escalones
The producer 16 Steps, created and directed by Manu Sánchez, strengthens the new format development department with the signing of Miguel Ángel Arango.
With more than 20 years of experience, Miguel Ángel Arango is the creator and director of formats such as My Big Night o Way a Way, produced for Canal Sur Television. In recent years he has also worked as deputy director of My house is yours y The Bertin Show, produced for Mediaset and Canal Sur Televisión, respectively; as well as a screenwriter in Everyone at home, produced for Spanish Television.
As a screenwriter and director of documentaries, Miguel Ángel Arango has also achieved success with titles such as Always Strong, the story of Pablo Ráez, premiered at the XXII Malaga Festival, or Joselito el Gallo, the wise bullfighter, produced for Canal Sur Televisión and TVE this same year. Arango arrives at 16 Escalones to reinforce the audiovisual creation area, responsible for television formats such as Land of Talent, The Longest Week, I Believe in You o Andalusian from A to Z.
Based in Dos Hermanas (Seville), 16 Escalones is currently immersed in an ambitious expansion plan. Recently, the production company has launched its events division, has inaugurated its own television and film set, and has opened a new headquarters in Castilla y León.
