Atresplayer presents its new formats in Gran Canaria

During this weekend, Atresmedia has held a new Atresplayer Day in Gran Canaria, a meeting that has become a great festival of national production, creativity and audiovisual innovation.

For several days, the island has been transformed into the epicenter of Spanish entertainment with round tables, exclusive presentations, previews and major announcements that reaffirm Atresmedia's commitment to the sector. Industry professionals, specialized press and some of the most recognized faces on television have gathered to celebrate the leadership and trajectory of the platform.

Atresplayer Day has been much more than a presentation of content: Atresmedia has brought together great figures in fiction and entertainment in Gran Canaria to share a common vision: to continue promoting national talent and betting on stories that connect with the public.

The platform has presented in Gran Canaria more than 20 projects and among the battery of news that has been announced, the following stand out: Renata & Nicole; the second season of Atresmedia's successful original fiction starring Belén Rueda and Belinda Washignthon; We are leaving mother, the new format presented by Roberto Leal and his mother Mercedes Guillén, the second edition of Drag Race Spain: All Stars, which with Supreme de Luxe at the helm, will once again bring together the queens of recent seasons in a new competition; Pajamas, a new format with Lola Lolita; either the wrong man, a new docuseries that reconstructs one of the most serious judicial errors committed in Spain.

In addition, the Atresmedia platform has reviewed the productions that will be released in the coming months and has announced new release dates: The maid's daughters (this Sunday, November 30), The Protected: A new power (December 14), Father there is only one: the series (January 25), Rafaela and her crazy world (February 15), the second season of between lands (March 2026) and The Girl (April 2026).

Vertical series, podcasts and video podcasts

Atresplayer has also presented one of its great novelties for the coming months: the production of vertical series. Atresmedia once again takes a step forward in its commitment to innovation and is already rolling A girlfriend for Christmas, the first vertical series for Flooxer, Atresplayer's young channel, starring Marina Baeza and Carla Flila.

Atresmedia brings to Spain the genre of microdrama, a true global audiovisual phenomenon that is having great success with its first projects in Latin America and Asia and that is designed to be consumed vertically and has episodes of 1 to 3 minutes in length with many plot twists.

It has also presented in Gran Canaria another of its great novelties for the coming months. From December 1, Atresplayer will include on its platform the catalog of original productions of Onda Cero Podcast. Thus, users will also be able to enjoy the audio experience, with fiction series, documentaries, true crimes or conversational programs.

Among the podcasts that will be available are: returned (two seasons), the revelation audio series of recent years, created by screenwriter and writer Julio Rojas; The white lady, by Enrique Videla; Operation Black Widow y Operation Moon, by Manu Marlasca; or the audio adaptation of the LaSexta documentary english Story of an escape.

Onda Cero is the media outlet that has released the most original audio productions in the last two years, with a catalog that exceeds a hundred podcasts. Throughout 2026, new original audio content will be added to atresplayer with the Onda Cero Podcast seal, such as true crime The Brotherhood, by Cruz Morcillo; the fiction thriller deserted blood, by Paula del Fierro; or the documentary Charlines.
