The semiconductor crisis will be overcome in 2023

Manufacturers of Ultra High Definition (UHD) televisions consider that the global chip and semiconductor crisis, which occurred due to the drop in production during the pandemic and which affects all electronic products, will be completely overcome in 2023 and will coincide with an increase in sales of 8K models.

This is the opinion of Altinkaya Row, Marketing Deputy Director de Vestel, one of the largest television manufacturers in the world and which accounts for 18% of sales in Europe, in addition to other private labels in large stores in the 157 countries to which it exports its products.

According to the data handled by the manufacturers, More than 7 million 4K and 8K televisions have already been sold in Spain, and the trend is increasing and will continue in 2022.

Altinkaya will participate in the 4K-HDR Summit, which opens on Monday, November 15 at the National Digital Content Pole in Malaga and brings together the main manufacturers, engineers and producers from around the world in 4K and 8K.

This event, organized by Medina Media Events which has Panorama Audiovisual as a media partner, celebrates its seventh edition with a hybrid format, with an in-person opening day and another four virtual days, with more than 40 conferences by experts from Asia, America and Europe.

Vestel, which has a workforce of 18,000 employees, considers Spain one of its main markets and joined the company as a founding partner. UHD Spain Association, which will hold its first General Assembly in Malaga and present its White Paper in an event that will welcome new partners and collaborating companies, such as FORTA, TV3, Video-MOS, Synamedia, Canal Sur and the Official College of Telecommunications Technical Engineers (COITT).

Also on a personal basis, other professionals will join UHD Spain as collaborators to participate in its work groups, technical tests and demonstrations.
