Talent It is a small, desktop, stereo audiocodec that allows you to participate in a program, from home or anywhere else. On its front there are microphone and headphone level controls, level indicators, call/hang up, hang up, and HELP buttons, a button to call the attention of the station operator. The system does not need to be operated by the user, since the controls are also through the smartphone application Talent Pilot and through the remote control panel PhoenixControl. Additionally, to send the audio to the station, you can use either a Home Internet, like a 3G/4G/5G wireless data connection through a simple router/modem with SIM card.
After a year on the market, users have found new uses for the equipment. Among them, we find the “voice sending plus external audioUsing the Bluetooth connection and/or line input, you can connect Talent to a mobile phone or PC and mix audio from files or music streaming, voice notes o pre-recorded and edited audio cuts. The audio from the microphone is mixed with that received from the phone or external audio device and sent compressed over IP to the studio console. Another use is that of the “live interviewUsing, again, the Bluetooth connection, AEQ Talent can connect to a mobile phone and do live interviews via GSM telephony or through applications such as Skype, WhatsApp o Zoom. In this use case, the interviewee's voice is mixed with Talent's microphone and sent compressed over IP to the studio console. Talent's microphone, in turn, is sent to the phone to easily maintain the conversation, although it can also be given back to the interviewee from the studio.
Finally, the third function for the AEQ solution is “commentatorUsing the Bluetooth connection or an auxiliary input, the event commentary can be sent from the microphone, and mixed with the event PA sound outlet. Using Apps, you can even use the phone as an external microphone for an interview or a binaural microphone to capture ambient sound.
