Netflix gives the green light to a new miniseries project, a psychological thriller inspired by real events directed by Jorge Torregrossa (Fariña, Privacy), who also serves as executive producer, and Laura Mañá (A boyfriend for my wife) and written by Laura Sarmiento (Privacy, Slaughterhouse).

The miniseries is inspired by the crime that took place in 2017, when a man was found burned in the Foix reservoir, in the province of Barcelona. The homicide investigation brought to light a network of toxic relationships, deception, sexual scandals and violence between several police officers in Barcelona.

This new project, which Arcadia Motion Pictures will be produced for Netflix, it does not yet have a final title and will begin filming soon.

Founded by Ibon Cormenzana in 2004, Arcadia was born with the aim of producing quality feature films with international potential, supporting auteur cinema and promoting the talent of promising young cinema artists.

Some of his most notable titles are snow white by Pablo Berger, winner of the Goya for Best Film or the recent The beasts by Rodrigo Sorogoyen, selected at the Cannes festival. In recent years, Arcadia has also entered the production of fiction series and animated films (Ozzy, Robot Dreams), always maintaining quality and care in the stories he tells through the screen.
