'Everything at once everywhere' sweeps the 2023 Oscars: complete list of winners
The Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) have seen how their strange, captivating, fun and divisive 'Everything at once everywhere' has been confirmed as the film of the year at the 2023 Oscars that have forgotten 'The Fabelmans', 'Elvis' or 'Tár'.
Everything at once everywhere has won the awards of Best Film, Best Address (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Best Assembly (Paul Rogers), Best Screenplay (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), Best Leading Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan). The film, brave in being the great bet of possibly the greatest American independent production company, A24, is an epic between multiverses, humor and completely emotional scenes led by a cast in a state of grace.
Although the film of the Daniels has taken most of the big awards at the 2023 Oscars (with the exception of the best actor statuette for Brendan Fraser for The Whale), the technical categories of the North American Film Academy Awards have been much more divided. Perhaps the award to James Friend for his photography in All quiet on the front, German film that has also won the award for Best International Film, Best Soundtrack y Best Production Design, and even more so when she was competing with other names like Mandy Walker (Elvis) o Florian Hoffmeister (Warehouse).
He Better Sound, just as all bets seemed to anticipate, has led to the work of Mark Weingarten, James H. Mather, Al Nelson, Chris Burdon and Mark Taylor in Top Gun: Maverick, while the Best Visual Effects, as it could not be otherwise, they have been taken Avatar: The Way of Water, a work by dozens of people signed by Joe Letteri, Richard Baneham, Eric Saindon and Daniel Barrett.
Other notable winners of the 2023 Oscars are Pinocchio by Guillermo del Toro, like Best Animated Film; Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, like Best Design Wardrobe, snatching the prize from the sadly left aside Babylon; The Whale, con Best Makeup and Hairstyling, o Women Talking, like Best Adapted Screenplay.
