AEQ - RTVE - Audiocódecs IP

AEQ has been the beneficiary company of the tender for the IP audiocodec renewal project of RTVE, which translates into the delivery of 427 pieces of equipment.

The use of lines ISDN has been part of daily life until now in the RTVE connections. However, the rise of IP voice communications has caused the current telephone exchanges, which use traditional “copper” wiring, to be replaced by new ones, based on fiber optic connections.

Phoenix Venus 4+ y Phoenix Elio

The teams Phoenix Venus 4+ of AEQ supplied to RTVE are double IP audiocodecs Full duplex stereo with local analog, digital and AoIP Dante/AES67 connectivity with “carrier grade” design that “guarantees” high availability and audio quality. Among the most notable features are its three IP network ports, to be able to physically separate the control network, the traffic with the remote codec and the local IP audio; he dual continuous data channel, one for each connection, its possibility of having up to four power supplies, and one local user interface which can be used in parallel with the software remote control.

On the other hand, the Phoenix Alio are portable IP audiocodecs with four microphone inputs or three microphones and a stereo line. The solution may be remotely controlled via software, has a bass and treble control on all inputs, and, in addition, can have a second bidirectional mono or stereo circuit, which allows establishing an additional circuit for coordination when a technician is sent to an event. This optional option has been incorporated into the RTVE supply.

Finally, the application Phoenix Control Multicodec, among other functions, allows you to detect all AEQ IP audiocodecs on a local network to control them coordinately from a PC or group of PCs.
