'Tea Rooms', a novel by Luisa Carnés, will be the plot base on which the new daily fiction of RTVE, a production of Boomerang TV which aims to transport viewers to Madrid in 1930.

Following in the wake of The promise, The 1 prepare a new period daily series to complete your afternoon fiction offering. Last Thursday, the Board of Directors of RTVE approved the new series, which will be one of the public channel's big bets for the next season. It will be made in co-production with Boomerang TV, which he already produced for RTVE Acacias 38, daily fiction that remained on the air for six years and almost 1,500 episodes.

Tea rooms, published in 1934, is one of the best-known novels by Luisa Carnés, one of the great writers of the Generation of '27. For her argument, the author was inspired by her own experiences working as a waitress in a Madrid pastry shop.

Set in Madrid in 1930, the story shows the portrait of an exciting time from the daily life of the workers and clients of a tea room near Puerta del Sol. It is a time of new times and great transformations in which there is also room for good living and glamour.
